Light in the Sky over Kelowna
My roommate just burst through the door saying that he saw a very bright light streak through the sky to the south about 50° above the horizon, traveling from east to west. He said it was about the size of the moon and was an intense white light. He said it was below the clouds and didn't have a tail. He figures, if he had to guess, it traveled 100° across the sky and vanished abruptly over boucherie mountain. He said it covered that distance in under 2 seconds at about 10:45pm.
Did anyone else see it?

Re: Light in the Sky over Kelowna
I heard the space station was supposed to be visible around this time, and it takes 90 minutes to circle the earth, so would appear to travel very quickly... either that or it's the mothership

They say you can't believe everything they say.

Maybe it was the UFO from Indy 4. Oops.

Re: Light in the Sky over Kelowna
Hello I also saw a very bright white light about the size of the moon on Monday night the 19th. I was in my car on my way back to Kelowna from Kamloops. I was just outside of Kamloops maybe 5 minutes away from the rest stop. Also it was ten minutes after ten. It came out of nowhere went across my whole windshield left to right in a matter of seconds. I have no clue as to what it was. I checked everything in my car and I couldn't recreate the ball of light on my windshield, as if it was created by me by mistake. After this happend I quickly got out of my car and shut it off. I looked south in the direction it went, but to no avail I couldn't see any orbs of light. If anyone else knows what this might be please feel free to let us know. I bet it's not the greys, but I am a little curious as to what it was.
Thank you all for reading this, and have a great day.

Here is a great site for getting space station times. You have to have a login and set Kelowna as your location, but it is easy and free
http://www.heavens-above.com/
It shows when it will happen, where to look, how bright it will be and you can also get a sky map that shows you exactly where to look.

This was NOT the space station. Are you trying to hide something? No worries I'll find out soon enough.

You should give the White Lake observatory a call and tell them what you saw. Their number is 250-493-2277.
