Castanet's events listings

Post by zzontar »

I'm just wondering what determines a listing under "events," I missed the car show in Peachland last week because I didn't see it listed there... today I wanted to see when the bridge-opening festivities were taking place, but the bridge party isn't even mentioned! Wouldn't these be considered big enough events to be posted there, or is there a website I can go to that mentions these types of events events in the Okanagan?

I don't know zzontar, I checked out the events today for something to do with the kids....apparently there is a family fun day today at 36:00am??? What time is that exactly because my watch doesn't seem to have numbers like that? :129: .....maybe I need a new watch.
Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.

That's horrible that they would have family fun day at such an odd hour!

I would assume that it would be up to the organizers of an event to contact Castanet to have the event listed. It is free advertising after all. I don't think Castanet should have to pay a staffer to look up events to post.

Ah, that's what I was wondering, whether or not the events listed were like the news... all free, but I wasn't sure if, like the news, it got posted regardless.
