We proudly present pothole #1

Post by KelownaCruises »

Kelowna Cruise's is proud to present a new feature, bringing the best of the city to you and yours.
In our first installment, we bring you to the Kelowna's Westide, on ROSS Rd near the Comfort Inn as you head toward the Petro-Can, which is great because maybe there you can repair your blown tire after you're done paying for the most expensive gasoline in all of British Columbia.

We can blow over $140,000 on a popcorn and peanut event for the "new bridge" but when it comes to roadways, repair and public safety we don't really give a schitt. Cars are swerving to avoid this pothole and the people who don't see it coming can't help but go "OUCH!" after they've hit it.

June1st, 2008. let's see how long it takes before someone gets out there and "gets the job done."

I can't figure out what's more pathetic.

The hole isn't filled yet, the fact somebody actually wasted so much time to make a video of this hole, or that the person who did, spelt it "whole".

With over 300+ posts in just over 6 months, I wouldn't consider myself the judge and jury on "time wasters".

And we're off . . .

I drive that road everyday, I just go around it. Make a complaint to the district. Take your video to them.

Edited to add, I checked out your black widow video - It gave me the heebie jeebies! Yuck!

....one question...

Why "Strangers in the Night"? I have some suggestions...perhaps "God Bless the Broken Road", "Where the Streets Have No Name", "Street Fight", "Why Don't We Do It In the Road", or even "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road".

Oh well, someone does, when I went to your "You Tube" on the side there was that video.

I hate to say it, but this pot hole would be considered itty bitty by many Nova Scotians. Man, some of the pot holes here you seriously could lose your car in. Ok, so I'm exaggerating, but they are HUGE here.

Hmmm, not that I enjoy those bragging rights.

I find it an amazing coincidence that in the video the only three people who didn't drive around the potwhole were driving the same make and colour of vehicle. I see a trend emerging here. This may bear further investigation. I wonder if you can get a government grant to study the drivers of brown Volkswagon vans and their apparent lack of cognitive abilitiy. Could it be dietary? Job related? Are they from Rutland? This baffles me.

This thread has been labelled "We proudly present pothole #1". Does that mean we're going to have a sequel? Because I just can't wait until that comes out......

One more thing......is it going to be better than the book because I found "pothole #1" a real cliff hanger but the movie didn't do it justice......just wondering.

... or that the person making the video decided Ross Road was in Kelowna.

KelownaCruises, did you make a complaint at the District of Westside office?
