Good Parking Attendants Comments

Post by Corina »

I am just curious after hearing so much about the parking attendants at Prospera, does anyone have anything nice to say about them?

Yes.

They weren't always parking attendants! :dyinglaughing:

Sorry about that. I always park by the marina on Rockets nights, but as I walk towards Prospera entrance, I often hear heated exchanges between patrons and attendants.

Impark employees have bigger egos than the parking tickets they handout. Working in the downtown core I am more or less forced to deal with them almost daily. I have a parking pass that costs me approximately $60 a month and they have still tried to tell me I can't park in the lot from time to time. Now that they have taken over city parking meters I am almost scared to ask what a ticket for a out of time meter costs. They clearly don't hire people who can think independently and have any understanding or compassion (taking a page from the RCMP training manual :skyisfalling: ). I know they are trying to run a business but loose the clones and hire some real people.

So, because they do their job, they aren't 'real people'?

Their job is to ticket people. I don't understand why you're complaining. If you follow the rules, you aren't in trouble.

Freerights all I will say is that perhaps you haven't had the pleasure of an Impark Kelowna experience. When I pay for a service whether it is a taxi ride or a parking spot or night out I expect a certain level of service. I can honestly say its 50/50 whether you will get that level of service from Impark. I will admit they haven't been that bad lately, but I have sure had some issues in the past... I also remember a story from a few years back that Alberta revoked Imparks access to vehicle registration info after they started calling people at 4AM over late parking tickets. All in all if I had a choice I would be parking with someone else, the only problem is that Impark has the monopoly on parking in the downtown core.
