Grammar!!

"There is three hundred fires burning........" The verb should be "are".

"There is a lot of people that are suffering....." Again the verb should be are and the pronoun "that" is for things. "Who" is for people. So the sentence should be "There are a lot of people who.....".

I can read through threads on Castanet and over and over the posters are only semi-literate. What did they learn in school?

If you don't know how to use the tools, I just don't trust the work you do on my car. Likewise, if you don't know how to use words, I just don't trust your truthiness.

Smoky. It's smoky, not Smokey. The air is smoky, and Smokey the Bear don't give a *bleep*.

Speaking of which, it’s Smokey Bear not Smokey the Bear [icon_lol2.gif]

How they make the storage bags for tents and sleeping bags so small that no mortal man could ever get them back in once taken out. :swear:

Friends (or should I say "friends") who you haven't heard from in ages, reaching out to you finally only to try and sell you on whatever stupid MLM scheme they've bought into.

It's just reached my breaking point.

I don't want your insanely overpriced Beauty Counter products when they make Sephora look affordable.

Why the heck are your Gel Moment polishes like $20+ a piece plus $10 shipping when I can go to Sally Beauty and get three for thay price? And I don't have to buy your specific fancy light.

Sorry I won't come to your Monat party. I already have plenty of product from the salon. And I don't think any of them have class action lawsuits against them.

Oh, and screw you too Arbornne.

What about the weight loss supplements? One feels like saying: “How’s about ya get yer *bleep* off that there sofa and work a little harder instead of trying to solve your problem with pills and horrid smoothies.”

Now it's bad enough some retailers happen to have christmas items out, I just scrolled though the tv listings & seen Miracle on 34th Street.

I think that was me. I have mended my ways

By next smoky season I will probably have forgotten the correction, so catch me at it early on.

The Canadian Tire Store at Leckie & Hwy.97 have closed their Dumping Station permanently due to vandalism. What a shame because it was the only one that I know of that could accommodate the longer trailers & then have easy access back onto Hwy.97. I don't blame the management for closing it if required a daily clean up ?

So where are other Dumping Stations located in Kelowna that have access for larger units ?

With the election coming up maybe those running for Mayor would consider putting in a proper Dumping Station like most other towns provide ?
