More like a belly laugh than a smile. GF (she's in my bubble) e-mailed me and asked if I could come down to unpack the snowblower and another carton that was delivered last week - arrived the same day she broke her arm. Delivery driver was nice enough to bring them into the house and set them just inside the living room. Oh boy, new scratching posts said her 2 cats. This is how much they liked the one box.

The sun came up twice today. :yahoo:
And of course it set twice too.
I wait all winter for this day and it makes me smile.

We have a large hill behind us and it went behind that hill at about 1:05. Just along the ridge is a deep gully and about 1:35 it poked it's head through that gully for about 15 minutes, then disappeared again until 9ish tomorrow morning.
Btw, on December 21st it sets about 12:35 pm, so we've gained about half an hour of sunshine. :sunshine:

But don't get too optimistic yet. Our record low for Kamloops on this date is a bone-chilling 28.9C.

After 100 years of dwindling birth populations, attacks by invasive species, and heavy casualties from fishing and whaling, baby tortoises were found born in the Galapagos Islands.

This is huge news for a species that has been struggling to survive for a century, relying on humans raising young tortoises bred in captivity until they are large enough to not fall prey to rats and predators.

The tortoise population has gone from around 150 in 1959 to almost 500 today.

Still laughing over this one.
Atta boy David Starnes Jr

Witnesses told detectives that Wilks and a friend were participating in a “prank” robbery as part of a YouTube video when they approached a group of people, including Starnes, with butcher knives. Starnes said he was unaware of the prank and shot Wilks to defend himself and the people he was with.

Life is a porta-potty, and 2021 is one of those times the wind goes down the vent pipe and blows the poo air up between your legs and into your face. That’s just life, the wind blows poo air in your face sometimes.

The weekend is here! Spent time with my best friend - she's basically it for my bubble.
I haven't failed until I quit.
