Re: The Castanet Gab-O-Rama
FedEx came today.
No one was home so they left a Door Tag.
Please pay $96.71 on line now or when we return tomorrow for delivery.
No name or return address on the Tag, so I pulled up it's tracking record.
It left Hong Kong on April 20.
And what is it?
I have no idea. But I am not handing over $96.71 for an item I never ordered.

Anytime I had a shipment subject to duty/taxes I'd get an e-mail. If I shipped something to my son he'd get a phone call telling him how much duty/taxes were due. He'd call me, I'd call FedEx and have the amount put on my account then pay.bb49 wrote: ↑Apr 26th, 2022, 1:30 pm FedEx came today.

If you don't remember ordering anything, call FedEx @ 1.800.GoFedEx (1.800.463.3339) and when the menu comes up, click on customs. When someone answers, give them the tag/tracking number and they can tell you what company shipped the item.

5 minutes of going round n round with a bot.
Finally got a live person, but we all know what his country of birth is. Can you say " strong accent"?
Went round n round with him.
Finally, shipper is a company called 4px express.
And that's all she wrote.

No, that's not how it works.
You pay, you get it, but only after I see it.
Hey, it could be $96 worth of rice. After all, shipper is a Chinese company.
And what's the price of rice in China these days?

The person at FedEx should have been able to give you the name of the company the parcel originated with. 4PX Express is a logistics company that hands off shipments to FedEx or another carrier depending on country shipment is destined for.
Did you order anything from Amazon, etc. lately that could be coming from China? If they do come back tomorrow, take a look at the company name the package is supposedly from and if you don't recognize the name refuse the package.

I thought you’d be so happy you’d cough up the costs without all this fuss.
I owed you this zinger for a few weeks now, enjoy!

Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

I thought it was "Halfwit" or "Halflit"?
Certainly not a "Smart Bulb"

Re: The Castanet Gab-O-Rama
You owed me?
For what? And it could cost me close to a hundred bucks!
Is this a thank you for something mysterious I did?
Or a kick in the wallet for a miscue on my part? Also mysterious.
And Dimwit? Not me.

Pepperidge and Skunk remembers.
You got off cheaply. Be happy.
Pay up and try to live up to your new Avatar and moniker. You will thank me, eventually.

I have no idea. But I am not handing over $96.71 for an item I never ordered.
We called local FedEx, they said the package contained clothing.
Turns out a family member ordered a surprise gift for his wife, to come to us.
But he paid for it, fully, was not COD.
Strange that all FedEx had was my last name and the FedEx Door Tag did not have our name on it, as well the $96.71 was handwritten.
We refused the delivery, twice.
Now he's digging into it.
