Poutine should be no offense; especially if the recipient has an open window. Good gravy; what a mess.

The guy in the white truck is a loser. Pretty simple. He probably has done this move before.
Doesn't matter how you slice it, it was dangerous driving. I guess some idiots will see it another way.
So now, the police have all the info. they need to charge him with dangerous driving.
Will they? probably not..

White pickup could be dinged for illegal lane change, as well as crossing the centre line. Both are MVA infractions, not criminal.

Charges against the black pickup would have to be pressed by the driver of the white truck. Assault? I don't know. The throwing of an object is probably covered somewhere in the MVA. But at best, both these drivers could be ticketed.

Was this incident even reported to the RCMP? I don't believe they are in the habit of cruising the internets, looking for videos of crime...

OP, I'm sensitive to your frustration, but the police going after these turkeys seems like a big waste of time to me.

I hear you for sure but I would hope it could be a case for a dangerous driving charge or whatever they classify "road rage" that causes a dangerous situation but who knows.

I guess part of my frustration with all of these "offences" that are just let go is that it is happening too often and it seems that anything and everything is ok! What exactly does one have to do in order to get served up a consequence? I think if you deliberately do something to put others in a precarious safety position that is good cause to lead to consequence. Is that too much to ask of our law enforcement? There is always an instigator in a situation, sometimes just a minor thing someone else blows out of proportion and reacts dangerously, like in this instance. When it leads to dangerous behavior and it's not checked or doesn't lead to a consequence, then what's the point of the law? When did we just sit back and say ok jungle rules from now on?

Pretty sure I'm not the only one frustrated by a lack of enforcement for these types of things but if I am, I'll own it! I don't think it's the right way to handle things at all.

Wow what a shocker, 2 guys in pickup trucks without a brain cell between them. Charge them both and suspended their license, while truck for much longer. Both clowns who don't deserve the privilege

I agree. So long as these two are on the road, the general public is not safe.

Wow what a couple of immature idiots! Acting like a couple of preschoolers! But it doesn't surprise me one iota in this town. All these macho, TUFF guy wannabe losers in Kelowna, this happens far more often than one might think!

Legend has it there is still a weathered and half disintegrated Mcdonalds fry box in the gutter at Richter and KLO.

The vehicle is in the left turn lane but decide to go back into the straight thru lane.
If they engage right signal light, wait for no traffic both ways and still on a green , proceed to pull back into the through the intersection lane. Then I presume it is not an offense. TRUE OR FALSE .?

I always thought it was illegal to change lanes in an intersection. I did some digging and found this though:

I am often asked to tell the motoring public that it is illegal to change lanes in an intersection. I cannot do this, because there is no specific rule prohibiting this driving action in the Motor Vehicle Act. However, a defensive driver will choose not to do this, even if it is legal.

The Motor Vehicle Act prohibits lane changes when doing so is unsafe or will affect the travel of another vehicle. In addition a driver must not change lanes if it means crossing a solid line. If there is no traffic in or near the intersection the lane change would be allowed as solid lines are not usually painted within intersections.

Keeping in mind that more than 50% of collisions in British Columbia occur in intersections, it is wise to keep vehicle movements there uncomplicated. This is why defensive driving prohibits making a lane change within the intersection. The choice removes one element of uncertainty for other drivers and that creates a safer driving environment.

In summary, choose the lane you want to use and occupy it well in advance of the intersection. If you decide that it is not the correct lane to use after all, wait until you are well clear of the intersection and then change lanes again as necessary.

I would need to re-review the video though to see if it’s likrly the intersection would have been cleared by the time the truck blew through. Clearly it was not the first time around

the driver of the white truck should get a criminal charge at least.
that behaviour deserves some time and a loss of a license for life.
the dude has some major issues.

there’s just something about big trucks that changes people.

You get inside one, suddenly your dick is 5 inches longer. Rules don’t apply anymore. You’re driving a truck! Everyone else get out of your way, You’re big and important! Bike lanes? Ha, more like passing lanes for important people like yourself. Sidewalks? Move aside pedestrians, You’ve got big wheels and a big empty flatbed, You’re borrowing this path to pass this line of cars waiting. Parking lot lines are just suggestions, Take as much room as you want. Handicapped spots? You’re a truck driver! You apply! It’s christmas shopping time, but all the parking spots are taken? It’s ok, you’ve got a truck. Just park beside the last stall. Or better yet find a section with striped lines on the pavement. Those spots are reserved just for you! Best part of driving the truck, is that you lose your silly need for full colour spectrum. Red-green colourblindness is where it’s at. You’ve got 2 greenish lights. Use them how you wish. Person in front of you only going 20 over the speed limit? They probably don’t realize someone as important as yourself is behind them. You best drive as closely behind them as possible so they can see and speed up to 40 over like real men such as yourself.

Cutting drivers off is a sh :cuss: ty thing to do at any time, but especially in a intersection. White pickup did exactly that in a intersection.

All he did that was illegal was pass against a solid line .. A BC MVA fine and perhaps penalty demerits .. The Puffy Dodge dude littered .. And perhaps , since they were McD's fries commit a salt with a weapon...

Both criminal offences .

I drive a pick up truck. Wow that is a harsh description of me. The only thing out of that mindless verbal diahreea I need is the double down dick dimension.

Yep... you'd think these morons were driving real cars, like Lamborghini's and such, with their attitude. An $80,000 truck!? So what, every idiot has one. You're not impressing anyone.
