Are You Ready for Christmas?

A potpourri of off-topics.

Are You Ready for Christmas?

Postby Bsuds » Dec 13th, 2018, 1:49 pm

So here we are with 12 days till Christmas and Are You Ready?

We are fully decorated and I just finished wrapping most of the presents. (for some reason my DW will not let me wrap my own).

How far along are you? Do you wait till Christmas eve to shop or do you try to shop early?
I could wake up early tomorrow and go running, or I could win the lottery...the odds are about the same.

Ready apart from doing a little wrapping which I do a couple of days prior - just in case I need to buy another little extra. Once I'm done wrapping I'm done shopping.

My people being the rest of the family that cares more about Festivus than I do. And, BTW, I actually saw a Festivus Tree in a window while on a walk the other day in another city.

Took care of it months ago, I've never been a last minute person... not about to start now.

Easy because after some Christmas disasters this year I have gotten and given gifts to a few people, cards mailed.. planning to spend the day eating favorite food and treats, finally a day of doing not much of anything. So few groceries to fetch and I'm ready :) Found bestest prezzies for friends so I'm stoked about that///

My family has decided that gifts and the decorations are less desirable than having our family and friends gather for a sharing of love, friendship and comfort. It works for us.

Nope, still working on it
PLEASE use spellcheck. If that is too hard, consider installing the Grammarly (free!) app that will not only spellcheck for you (AND offer corrections!) but also make sure that your sentences are grammatically correct.

Done a month ago. Can’t say I’m too organized in most aspects of my life, but Christmas is the one thing I have down to an art. I rarely do the online thing and you won’t catch me dead in the mall in December. I also don’t start obscenely early. Mid-October to early November has always been my goal.

Wrapped all my gifts over a week ago.

All the shopping pretty well done.

Wrapping is on the "to do" list. This weekend, I hope!
