Snow Removal Kelowna (Parking Lots By the Job or Monthly)

10 years ago I used to do a bit of hand shoveling for commercial.

1st year. Apartment Complex $400 a month November-December-January-February (No matter how much it snowed) Took me 10 mins to drive there, and 20 mins to shovel. I shoveled 6 times that year $1600/6 = $266.00 per time!!!

2nd year. Apartment Complex $400 a month November-December-January-February (No matter how much it snowed) Took me 10 mins to drive there, and 20 mins to shovel. I shoveled 27 times that year $1600/27 = $59.00 per time

ANYWAY. I see the bobcats start arriving at parking lots around October in Kelowna. I've always wondered how the BIG-BOYS get paid. Lets take Canadian-Tire Parking Lot for example. Do these guys get payed by the month? or only when it snows (by the job)? It snowed about 5 times this year. Someones gonna win, someones gonna loose.

Any contractors on here that do snow-removal? I've seen those machines sitting quite a bit this year.

I am going to go on a whim assuming pay is only based on work.
Potentially a minor fee for being "on-call"

I could be incorrect but if i were to hire a contractor for snow removal that would be my contract.
