Costco moving to Leckie Road
Looks like the City of Kelowna would rather have a new Costco than support housing affordability. Application for a new Costco right next to Superstore will require 16.8 acres of medium and high density multi-family land.
So much for Castanets story that it was ‘officially’ going to the Westside.
Application here:

Yes there is, look at the bottom left side of the plan:
Gas Bar Site - 79 stalls - 2.06 acres.
Easier to visualize with google maps: Gas Bar hopefully will be across Baron Road from Marshalls and Dollarama.

Depends on how many members buy gas there
Q. Can anyone buy fuel at a Costco Gas station?
a. The gas station is open to Costco members only, with one exception: Costco Cash Card holders do not need to be members.

The only downside will be increased traffic in an already congested area. I like the access from Leckie (x2) and Baron (x1). I LOVE that they're putting the gas bar across Durnin, keeping it separated.
I haven't failed until I quit.

Unless they do something with traffic flow..its going to be crazy at Baron and Dilworth for sure....and Baron and Leckie.

Apparently the CoK planners enjoy crazy, throw in a few aggressive drivers equals total mayhem.
