I agree. I feel for the owners as well. I like stopping by Hansens for a slice and a pop from time to time.

Turkey and Syria appear to be at war. Russia and Turkey are on opposite sides. Looks like a powder keg over in Eurasia

What a screwed up part of the world.
Turkey, mostly Sunni.
Syria, mostly Sunni.
They are both Sunni. Shouldn't they be falling in love with each other? Of course it's a whole lot more complicated than that.
Russia is going to sit back and use the Syrians and the Turks as a testing ground for their various weapons. No doubt the Americans may be feeling a little left out.

And caught in the middle are the Kurds. Does either side like them?

And then there's the tens of thousands of refugees that Turkey is trying to get rid of, sending them in the direction of Europe, who doesn't want them. Has anyone seen the pictures? Almost all men. They left the women and children behind to suffer.

I've given up trying to understand the hatred between various factions, that are so often religious based.

Covid19 got you down?

Be glad we live in the age of starlight....we are only at the beginning...

Check the time counter at the bottom...I tried to work out the number but it's a few orders of magnitude more than a centillion.
By the 'time' time ends...God will know every thought of every creature in the universe ever had, every action of every quark, every proton... it will not go forever... but until the process of quantum tunneling is complete... then even God will forget.

Edit...Hawking Radiation with black holes blowing up, or quantum tunneling and going out quietly?
Also in the vid the cooling process of white dwarf stars is extended way too long.
Anyway...back to topic

Not at all.
What has me down in the dumps is JTvid15. That went on too long. Costly and frustrating.
And now JTvid19 is looking just as gloomy. It's shut down half the country.
Covid19 will never be this bad.

If there's a JTvid23, we're screwed. I'm leaving.

I was going to go buy a vehicle today....I've decided to wait for maybe a week or so when my cash might buy 3 times what it would buy today. This is worse than the 1987 black Friday crash.
Gold is falling fast...which doesn't make sense...ah...give it a day or two.

Good luck with that because all travel will be shut down because of Trumpvid20.

Tongue in cheek post...I'm more of a socialist.

The greed factor...https://www.castanet.net/edition/news-s ... htm#279989
Or is it greed?
The very nature of our society, business and capitalism is to take as much money as you can squeeze out of someone. Our society rewards greed. So why are people angered about the people that clear everything out of store shelves?

The price of gas in Edmonton is 73 cents/litre and it's 109.9 here now. Based on the fact that taking as much as we can take from each other is what we do best, shouldn't Okanagan gas stations be praised for getting as much as they are per litre?

What a beautiful day today in the neighbourhood.

This morning, after it warmed up, I got out in the yard, did a bit of raking then started in on pruning my fruit trees.
Feeling a little exhausted around 2 or 3, I pulled out some lawn chairs, brought out the speakers and sat back enjoying the warmth.
Then my tenant came home and joined me. He poured a couple of rum and cokes for us, :130: and life is still good.

What's there to complain about?

What if we’re not the USS Enterprise, which realized what was going on with the temporal anomaly and figured out how to break free? What if we’re the USS Bozeman, a Soyuz-class ship captained by Kelsey Grammer and didn’t realize it?

Hair salons and barber shops can open May 19th under phase 2 of BC's Covid-19 and file plans with WorkSafeBC safe reopening in the second phase.

From what I gather it isn't easy to get a hold of the supplies necessary for opening
I haven't failed until I quit.

My concern too. How do they make a living when their customer is six feet away?
