Makes me wonder if the headline writers are that stupid or are they just tired of their job?

Good ones nevertheless.

Castanet headline was "King Charles egged"

However he was not "egged"
Eggs were thrown towards him, even at him, but not a single egg hit him.

SLAIN OFFICER CLEARED
Slain RCMP Const. Yang cleared of wrongdoing in shooting: B.C. police watchdog

When a non-police officer dies during the commission of an actual offense, such as the two that had the shootout with police in Saanich in June. We don't usually hear statement like "Duo deemed criminally responsible for armed robbery that resulted in their death at the hands of responding police". I guess the theory is they are dead, all appearances are that they were robbing a bank, let's move on.

Not so with our police. Even when an officer is killed doing their job our trusty police watchdog, the Independent Investigation Office has to determine if the dead officer made a mistake.

Make me wonder that if she was not "cleared" do we remove her name from the official records of police who have died in the service of our country ? Or, maybe hold off on the regimental funeral until our IIO determines blame.

So after Constable Yang died following her altercation with a homeless person during which, she discharged her weapon and shot the homeless person who killed her, it is a bit strange to see headlines "Slain Officer Cleared". As I said, the IIO has their mandate, even if the subject of the investigation is dead.

Even then, the follow-up comment I feel takes the cake -

"It (Police Watchdog) says the matter will not be referred to the Crown for consideration of charges."

Isn't that a nice statement, must be very reassuring to the Yang family mourning her death.

For some it would be a tough choice.

Should have thought about this before doing something really stupid.

Good chance she wouldn't be there when he got out or the locks would be changed and a restraining order in place.

I'm confused, which one ? The civil disobedience ? or, the marriage ?

Since I don’t know how the marriage is actually going, I will have to go with civil disobedience/PO Vancouver commuters.

Couple decapitate themselves at the same time using home-made guillotine with their heads then rolling into a fire in ritualistic sacrifice in India

The bodies have been sent for a post-mortem examination, and a case of accidental death has been registered.
Yes, a post-mortem is definitely needed.
