Believe me BriTer, this won't be the best tasting shooter you'll have tried, even though I have a friend who actually likes the taste... you get used to it anyway.
You could possibly use the garlic for cooking afterwards, but the vodka will have most of the beneficial goodness.

Well, zzontar, thank you for the garlic "tea" remedy.
However, my "other post" was not about how I hated for ME to smell of garlic, but how I detest the second-hand smell of garlic on other people.
And, if I was as rude as some non-smokers are, I would be telling them in very plain language how much they stink - in spite of their fancy clothes, expensive perfumes and after-shaves, and gum chewing cud.
I can't remember if I posted a horticultural garlic tea here for using in your garden to protect your roses, etc from ants, aphids and other creepy crawlies ... many heads of garlic, peeled and boiled in water to make a very potent liquid.Mash and let sit overnight. Strain and put in a spray bottle - like a Windex bottle. Spritz your plants with it. You can put the used mashed garlic cloves out in the garden under your roses and around your veggies. It repels cats, too, I hear. Sprayed along the creek edges it will also repel geese and ducks from stopping and coming ashore there.

Going to try the garlic spray. Lots of garlic left that has sprouted beyond palatable consumptive use.
Wonder how long the spray will keep once processed ? Hope it might be good for aphids on dill.

Thanx
Try a bit of dishwasher soap, hot water and soak it overnight. Works like a charm!!! (Thermos's too!)
perhaps the straight and narrow would be wider if more people used it
