Insane jet powered VW Beetle; supposedly street legal
Street legal??? Perhaps without the turbojet running.

I want one of these just for tailgaters. The acceleration might be scary though.

But who needs speed? The built-in, flame-throwing tailgating deterrer alone might be worth the price.

That’s one way of removing tailgaters. ![:haha: [icon_lol2.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_lol2.gif)

It may be road legal.
I know that Jay Leno has a Jet powered motorcycle.
I seem to recall a story about him melting the paint off a car at a stop light with it.

Reminds me of a story(urban legend?) I heard in the early 90's about some guys in Arizona that took a engine off a timed out Lear 24 and mated it to a Chevette. There was nothing left of the Chevette after becoming airborne and impacting into a rock at 250 mph.
Some may view my politically incorrect opinions as harsh and may be offended by them. Some think political correctness will be our undoing.

I can't see that being legal. Forget melting paint off of cars, what about melting the skin off pedestrians?
