What I found is I could eat about 1/2 a burger and it would suddenly taste like Sawdust. At most Fast Food Chains, so a common trend.normaM wrote:ok, a burger bun, all the fixings, with another half bun inside
oh wait - that's what their burgers taste like now
At A&W you can order their burgers Lettuce Wrapped instead, so I tried this and the burger suddenly tasted the same until it was finished.
So I believe their buns are full of nasty fillers.

Value Menu - Sausage McMuffin (no egg), half the price and much better than the Egg McMuffin, as long as the English Muffin is properly toasted.Bsuds wrote:Awhile back I had to get some testing done and had to fast before taking them.OKkayak wrote:Egg McMuffin with a dollop of hollandaise sauce.
I was starving and had to go to work so I stopped and grabbed a couple of egg mcbarffins.
My God they were horrible! Never again!
You're Welcome

Just wish the border would open up, so close to a Jack In The Box, loaded breakfast sandwich - sausage, bacon, ham, cheese, egg on grilled sourdough

Heartattack Grill in Vegas baby!GordonH wrote:I think mcd’s should do everyone a huge favour and actually make heart-attack in a bun.
Octuple Bypass Burger, 8 burger patties, 8 slices of cheese and 40 slices of bacon, not bad for $30. I tried their Triple Bypass Burger a couple of times, I can do a triple at Wendy's but no way in heck did I even get close to finishing the one at Heartattack

Cooked in some Beet juice to add the red blood look.

Seriously though, if you ever go to Ikea in the near future, their veggie dogs are pretty decent. I usually grab one when we go.
I find the only real "traditional" fast food chain burger (this side of the border) that I somewhat enjoy is a Whopper, its the only one that has a somewhat beefy taste to it since its at least flame grilled (albeit before its put in the warmer). There's still a Carls Jr here in Surrey, so I'll opt for that one if we're in the area since it goes pretty much straight from the flame to the bun. As far as fried burgers, the problem with places like Wendy's, A&W and McDonalds is they don't let the meat caramelize so you don't get a decent crust on the meat. At Five Guys, they caramelize the meat which makes their burgers so freakin' good.stuphoto wrote:What I found is I could eat about 1/2 a burger and it would suddenly taste like Sawdust.
