Hiring a hit man on the internet

Post by Sonny Taylor »

I found this story very funny. There's a website called "rentahitman.com".

The site promises confidentiality and repeatedly states that it is the ONLY website that is compliant with the "Hitman Information Privacy & Protection Act of 1964." "The dark web is dangerous but we are not!"

The site has testimonials from "customers"; and has also received requests from people who want to be a hitman. It's a hilarious read if you're not too gullible. They say they have over 1,789 operatives (which is roughly the number of US law enforcement agencies).

The thing is, some people who want someone killed have actually tried to use it. A "Wendy Wein" was recently convicted and faces a minimum of 9 years in jail upon sentencing in January.

The website: https://rentahitman.com/

Take a look at the "Service Request Form" for a further laugh.

A good story about it and it's history is in the Washington Post:
