i think the fact that these quotations were proposed idealistically no matter how well intentioned by mere men limits the impact that they can really make. can someone be impacted by these words? absolutely. can these quotes change lives through these people? absolutely. but in the end they are just words. not truths, not freedom, and not necessarially knowledge. if these men who forged a country really had a lasting impact on this world, then the country they created would still be the ideal that they tried to create. good or bad. from adolph to washington. i guess thats the knowledge and truth i take from what i read. and i have the freedom to say so.
