Where do you stand on the probability of God's existence?

Is there a god? What is the meaning of life?

Where do you stand on the probability of God's existence?

1.00: Strong theist. 100 percent possibility of God. In the words of C.G. Jung, 'I do not believe, I know.'

Why must there be "meaning"? Is there no solace to be found in random chance?

It seems to be a human foible, like why do you wake up alone with an erection in the morning? Inquiring minds want to know.
Trying to get spiritual nourishment from a two thousand year old book is like trying to suck milk from the breast of a woman who has been dead that long.

Here's another thought- do the other self aware species ask where they came from? There's not many:great apes, dolphins, elephants, even a certain species of magpie is self aware. Do they have gods?

“Meaning”? I have no desire to presume or delude myself to feel solace; I am until I am no more.
Learning to gain understanding about (chemistry and physics) and the mechanisms of nature, now that gets a big YES from me, but meaning, nnnah; meaning is … purely subjective, and I do not have the emotional need for it like many do.

Shortly after I adopted "TyrianQuill" as my pen name, I wrote:
TyrianQuill wrote in April of 2001

"Others say I am different; am complex with an active mind and a poetic soul. Was born happy; am gregarious sensuous spontaneous selective opinionated warm passionate and private; have eclectic tastes, and by choice live an uncomplicated quiet casual life.

I like the smell of orange, the taste of dew, and the feel of moonlight. Shade on sunny days, mountain air, the flickering glow of candles, and, listening to the ever present song that emanates from the creek that flows alongside my home.

I value respect, integrity, honour, a good mind, loyalty, self-responsibility, and a sense of seriousness and a lack of it as well.

While growing up I came in contact with a wide variety of diverse people from literates musicians and politicians to farmers and work-hands. To this day I am still a people-watcher and learn much this way. I also watch and ponder about nature and the surrounding world to.

There is so much whispering beauty, it haunts me.”

I am awestruck by existence.

Existence is my being.

God is my instinct, inner voice, wise mind.

I'm proof enough.

In 'your brain' if that's what works for you- great, what ever floats your boat.

Brain...there is no reason or rhyme to how I cherish my belief about 'God'. I have no 'boat to float', nor would I buy one to prove your error.

God is, and will always be mine only. Belonging only to me.

My apology if I seemed trite, I'm tuckered; good night

I saw a great cartoon many moons ago with a few dozen different species of animals, bugs and birds. Each one had a thought balloon over their head that said, "So, god created me in his own image."
