The bible debunked.

Is there a god? What is the meaning of life?

Name for the manifestation of God I accept as the power that redeems me. Gotta call Him something. As I experienced it in the way Paul writes about it in Romans I use the name that appears in modern Biblical translations. However, my point was that most Christians have the mistaken belief that there was a dude named Jesus Christ running around 2000 yrs ago and that is not the reality. The important part is not the name but the relationship.

I've also heard of Christ not being a title, but rater a state of spirituality similar to the idea of a state of "enlightenment". Hence the phrase of "being christ-like".

I believe the translation of messiah into Greek was christos. I guess it depends on what you believe messiah means.

There never was a anyone named Jesus. His real name was most likely Yeshua. Directly translated into English this would be "Joshua". Jesus is the result of a translation from Aremaic or Hebrew into Greek then Latin. Christ is not even a name... but a title... which means Messiah.

Joshua, son of David, more or less directly translates to English as John, son of David, or -- more precisely -- John Davidson.

As the John Davidson from tv and stuff we know was born to two Baptist ministers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this all fits together nicely.

Yet another hit and run? If one can't even put together a coherent paragraph, how does one expect their opinion to be taken seriously.

Who the hell is John Davidson? An understanding of who this individual is might shed some light on the obscurity of the earlier post.

In the Aramaic, the man would probably have been called Jeshua ben (or bar) Joseph -- Jeshua, son of Joseph. To bolster claims of his proper decent as prophesied he has been called Jeshua bar David, or Jeshua, son of David. Jeshua is roughly akin to modern John. Hence, John, son of David -- John Davidson.

Do you troubled souls understand now?

I still can't figure out;
The christ figure, and deciples were in Arabia, 2,000 +/- years ago.
The first English heard there abouts was when the crusaders hit 800 +/- years ago.
So how comes they all gots English monikers.

And did you hear about the judge in Texas who, when an accused asked for an interpreter, replied " If English was good enough for jesus christ, its good enough for this court room"
We're lost but we're making good time.
