Is there a god? What is the meaning of life?

But really, that doesn't simplify it at all.

This universe could have started as nothing, and then all of a sudden, god came from nowhere and began to exist, and then god created time and the universe and so on. But where did god come from, did some other god create it? if so, who created that god and who created the god that created that god... etc?

Most likely, it all started with a tiny little bit of something. Really that's alot easier to wrap you head around that thinking it all started with something as complex as a god.

My guess: human's created god.

Hi Rideforever:
Maybe, just maybe, the God-energy created Itself - and then created the humans to have various physical experiences for Its benefit...
Cheers!

Why on earth would an all powerful god bother creating humans to have experiences for it? Any halfway powerful god would skip the work of making stuff & just go ahead and have the experiences.

Hmmm. That does provide some insight.

Not even a god could imagine the antics that people have dreamed up.

Next time you point a finger, I'll point you to a mirror. You don't deserve a point of view when the only thing you see is you.
