Re: Draw Mohammed Day
Can I show up and draw Jesus trying to run Mo down?
If so, I'll be there first thing in the morning.
This sounds like good fun!

Only if they are pork ribs. Beef isn't sacrilicous enough.
Nothing on the Internet is so serious it can't be laughed at, and nothing is as laughable as people who think otherwise.

Right.
I was thinking of pork ribs, but now I don't think that there will be enough.
How about a pig roast smothered in halal sauce?

So, people in Kelowna are only doing it because someone else is doing even though in our case it doesn't make sense? Talk about lemming mentality...

We obviously won't be putting our lives on the line but some people will, I want to stand in solidarity with them.

It's sacrilegious to Hindus so cook it up. Shellfish are sinful for Jews so throw on some shrimp as well.

Are demonstrations against free speech only supposed to happen in specific areas? I was unaware there was a hierarchy. People have been killed for this RIDICULOUS reason. I hope a demonstration occurs on one level or another in EVERY part of the world.

I guess you fail to see the logic here. Then again, mass demonstrations and logic never mix. Lemming mentality at its finest.

That doesn't make sense. Mass demonstrations are responsible for many civil rights. Just because a large group of people believes in something doesn't make it stupid.

Oh, ideas sometimes are brilliant, it's mass participation and lemming mentality that makes it stupid.
For example, when was the last time you saw a demonstration against oppression of black folks in Africa here in Kelowna? Never. Because it doesn't make sense to have one here. Same with Mohamed thing. But feel free to participate, you're making a difference.
