Evolution anyone?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-13280665
Scans of human embryos have been used to construct this digital time-lapse video of how the human face develops from age one month to 10 weeks.
The early human embryo looks very similar to the embryo of any other mammal, bird or amphibian - all of which have evolved from fish.
Your eyes start out on the sides of your head, and have to move into the middle. The top lip along with the jaw and palate rotate from the neck where they originated as gill-like structures. Your nostrils and the middle part of your lip come down from the top of your head.

Re: Evolution anyone?
where do they show that any species has evolved to another species?
how did the original life form? why and how would a single cell organism know how to reproduce? if it was just created how would it know it needed to reproduce to survive?

Scientists have identified what may be the "missing link" connecting fungi to plants, animals and bacteria.
In the journal Nature, the researchers outline the structures and properties of a primitive type of fungus that they name cryptomycota, or "hidden fungi".
They suggest it raises new questions about how fungi evolved.
Samples used in the research were isolated by Dr Meredith Jones in a pond near her laboratory at Exeter University, UK.
"They are the oldest currently known of the fungal group and they represent the missing link between fungi and the rest of the kingdom of life," she told BBC News.
"DNA studies show that it was around this point that fungi diverged, so this will tell us a lot about how they evolved."
The discovery has already thrown up one surprising finding. The group lacks what until now scientists had thought was a defining feature of fungi: a rigid cell wall that is used to feed.
According to lead researcher Dr Thomas Richards from the Natural History Museum in London, text books on fungi may well need to be re-written.
"This new group uses a different strategy. We need to rethink how we classify fungi and we may need a better definition of what a fungus is," he said.

My Gills have all but vanished and the Chimps I have been observing for years are still Chimps and the Scentists are still humans ?

If you are going to debate evolution, you would be well advised to understand it better first. Comments like your previous post do your arguements no service at all.

Dear Jennylives I have no intention of debating this particular topic.jennylives wrote:If you are going to debate evolution, you would be well advised to understand it better first. Comments like your previous post do your arguements no service at all.
In my opinion there is nothing further to understand here but thanks for your concern !
If you are pro evolution then perhaps I would suggest and advise that you gain knowledge in the alternative, have a wonderful day !

There is no being pro or anti evolution, evolution is not an opinion or belief system. It's science, which requires facts, not faith.

Oh come on is all Science exacting ? and I have yet to see facts and proof that evolution is anything other than theory based .jennylives wrote:There is no being pro or anti evolution, evolution is not an opinion or belief system. It's science, which requires facts, not faith.
So yes it is an opinion and believed by some but not all !

To be fair, the statement that we all evolved from fish is one more of faith than fact. Now the statement that evolution happened and continues to happen is a factual statement.

Re: Evolution anyone?
Saying we evolved from fish would require faith, yes. Saying humans and x species of fish had a now extinct common ancestor billions of years ago is more accurate.
Takin it easy, wouldn't we find fossils of modern man alongside dinosaurs if there was no evolution? What about the men of the bible who lived for hundreds of years, why don't ever find those fossils? Or horses? Or giraffes? Or elephants? What about the fact that through genetic mapping we are actually drawing out the tree of how all species are interrelated?

Re: Evolution anyone?
If you can understand what Darwin's studies revealed - which were earth shatteringly elegant - ie simple - then you can understand that biology performed millions and millions of experiments, on millions of primordial substances, and continues to perform millions of experiments daily on all manner of life forms. Some of these experiments are successful, some not, the successful ones become part of our daily environment, the unsuccessful fade into the sunset. This began with the primordial mud, and continue to this day.
