Yes I do.
A lot of people prefer to keep their mouths shut. I like to be honest.
If the bible tells me Hindus and other religions are all going to hell, I like
to mention it, so everyone knows.
I also like to say the good things about Christians.

You do realize that your logic actually makes no sense right?
there are lots of different religions with their own books saying the same thing about all the other religions.
The bible is no more relevant than the Torah, Koran or Bhagavad Gita
It's just a book that goes with your religion with advice to live by.
*shakes head* this is why I usually stay out of the religion forum it ticks me off
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Just a thought here, but how many times have we seen "God's message" twisted and perverted to gain a selfish (and all to human) end? How many times have we seen a Christian holding the Bible (a Christian text) up to the world as the "Word of God" claiming that is has dominion over everyone ? Is it any wonder that many are finding it increasingly difficult to reconcile a spiritual lifestyle with what is promoted by organized religion ?
The Bible is a good book with lots of sound moral messages (and a sizable helping of out-of-date content) but in the end it is just a book penned by human hand, and for too many it has become a tool to control through fear and guilt.

Christians should then be advocates of slavery and beating people. Screw "mans" laws.
(Exodus 21:20-21) - "And if a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod and he dies at his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, he survives a day or two, no vengeance shall be taken; for he is his property."

No need to take things out of context and twist meanings like the ever trolling thinktank does.

King James VersionBut though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Do you agree with the scripture that says other religions are cursed?

You should try reading that entire passage in context. That's not the word of god, but the words of a man trying to proseletize the churches of galatia. It is paul, himself, saying to the churches that they will be accursed. In exactly the same fashion that you, yourself, are saying that your neighbour will be accursed. Now you should have a peek at Matthew 7:1 and reflect upon that.
I'd like to change your mind, but I don't have a fresh diaper.

I think if Christians on this forum are going to misquote past leaders or take quotes from an old book, then it's fair game to read passages from the Qur'an and use it as a reference of truth?

So you genuinely enjoy telling people they are going to hell? You don't enjoy, say, engaging them in a conversation and maybe trying to change their view and show them what you believe to be the path to righteousness, but just telling them they are going to hell?
You may go to church every Sunday, but no Christian are you. Not if you genuinely enjoy telling people they are going to suffer for eternity. That's pretty much evil.

If that's true you should probably stop talking.

There is no hell in the Bible. "Christians" who are in love with the idea of hell should be reading Dante or Plato instead.

"We've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of Shakespeare. Now, thanks to the Internet, we know this is not true."

According to Christianity's teachings, anyone can become a Christian, even if it's with their last breath...that includes Hindus.

In India, the 'untouchables' make up about 20% of the population,
and the 'brahmins' always tell the untouchables they will always
be an untouchable and their children will always be an untouchable,
and their children will always be an untouchable, for eternity,
and the brahmins keep reminding the untouchables how great the brahmins
will always be.
YOU HAVE MORE PRIVILEGES WHEN YOU'RE A BRAHMIN.
So (Hindu) is a bit evil too.

Look - if you want to believe in the good book, all the power to you. You obviously feel that it's the word of god, your guide to life, your map to the afterlife. If that's what floats your boat, if that's what you need to pull yourself up and carry on through life's challenges - great. However, you can't pick and choose just the bits you agree with and throw out the rest. To do that, my friend, is pure unadulterated bull****.
You realize that by your very own proselytizing you yourself are implementing a caste between yourself and your neighbor. You're judging him and determining that he will be cast into hell, and therefore elevating your own status to be above his. By your very statement above, you yourself are evil. The very texts you hold so dear tell you repeatedly to not judge or condemn your neighbor. That duty belongs only to your god and nobody else. I personally think neither of you will wind up in hell....but I do think you're being a holier-than-thou hypocrite.
