That was definitely worth listening too. Didn't agree with all of it but some interesting insight. Thanks Glacier.

Yes greed and materialism. The New Age is upon all of us. It will all come crashing down and the World Teacher will await you.
Not sure I follow you. I agree that greed and materialism is the new religion. I am against religion. Not sure what money has to do with the new age but the money system is being purposely demolished into a one world currency. The World (Life) is our teacher. There is no one teacher, no one way, no one path back home. It is up to us to find our own path. The journey is ours to make. We don't need teachers or religion to do that.
Everyone will bow on the day of declaration or the night of a thousand stars. Where everyone will declare their allegiance to the World teacher and the Masters of Wisdom. His star is coming.....
You're just joking right? If not WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Just out of curiosity.
No I'm not joking......he is possibly here now. He is Christ, Buddha, Krishna and all other religious icons all coming together as one. The world teacher. He will bring all religions together as one. Watch for his star and his emergence.
This ad for him was shown on CNN. There are other ads.

You have no solid proof of this, but I do believe something dramatic is coming but its related to Bible prophesy in which I feel very satisfied with the PROOF that it can be trusted, but that is a different thread. I will make you an offer, if you want to know what proof there is feel free to PM. There are too many haters here for me to discuss this topic here.
But to each his own.

I'll believe it when "she" brings all religions together with her star emergence.

And what about Satan, do you think she'll come down too?

Thanks type_O, but she is going to be a he and he is already here. His emergence started in January 2010. Everyone will declare their obedience to him on the day of declaration in the near future. You will see.

as long as there is a need to find a god outside of ourselves or a need to control others - there will be religion.

As long as humans see the world and themselves as being out of control, there will be religion. Only people who think they are out of control think they need someone or some thing to control them. God(s) have evolved out of the insecure human psyche who feels his environment is a dangerous place. The paradox is that humans have become the most dangerous creatures on Earth because they feel a need to subdue nature, which is a projection of his own inner turmoil, an ego out of control.
There may have been a conscious being that brought about all that we see in the Universe, but the gods that humans worship are a product of the human psyche trying to justify its own sense of insignificance - an omnipotent being that actually cares what humanity thinks and does.
I saw a bumper sticker today. It read: "When the power of love become more important than the love of power, the world will know peace." When people realize their own inherent divinity they will no longer need to dominate others.

Re: Coming Soon: The Extinction of Religion
Um no, I'm not saying that - Kim Jong Un's political leanings are well documented. Some say that getting rid of religion would get rid of all our problems. Others like Sneaksuit say that removing a certain political persuasion will eliminate all our problems. Still others say that getting rid of a certain race or sexual orientation will solve our problems. And the list goes on, but I'm not buying any of it. We could go around and eliminate all the conservatives on Castanet (homeownertoo, Al Czervic, etc.), but would it really improve the forum decorum?

Cliffy's quote:

I agree with this point of view. Yes, some of those hard core conservatives really love their interpretation of their religion.
I believe in re-incarnation and think that religion provides a springboard for certain experiences that some people need to grow spiritually. It's a structured framework of limiting ideas that provide a unique experience for growth. I think that as we become spiritually wiser, we continue to grow outside of that framework. Not to say that people who are non-religious are more evolved than those who are.
