What I'm disagreeing with here is your own form of manipulation, what I am calling a rhetorical tool.

No. I'm saying you're deliberately trying to imply all Christians are involved with this, not just the tiny, tiny segment that actually is involved.forum wrote:Are you saying they are not Christians?Mr. Personality wrote:I love how "Victory Christian Center" becomes

Re: Brainwashing Christian Children: Scary.
Each Christian is an individual. They are all responsible for their own thoughts and action. However. When you become a part of a religion you are accepting the religions belief system and agreeing to live by it. You have then accepted to become a small part of the large problem of religion. The tiny actions by one individual christian can quickly become acceptable among their pears leading to a larger danger. Problems arise when religious people begin using their beliefs inappropriately. Religious people try to apply their belief system to everything, and it just doesn't work.Mr. Personality wrote:No. I'm saying you're deliberately trying to imply all Christians are involved with this, not just the tiny, tiny segment that actually is involved.forum wrote: Are you saying they are not Christians?
I'll use prayer as an example of a tiny thing becoming a large problem. Prayer is something all Christians practice. Texas Governor Rick Perry is hosting a giant prayer session to attempt to solve Texas and Americas events. This is costing millions of dollars to host. What are the results of this prayer session? Nothing. The big problem is the acceptance from all of the 'tiny' individuals.

The whole "Free will" "Freedom of speech" Freedom of Religion" argument is getting a tad bit old. When put under fire, I see a trend among people to say "Well that is my right, that is my freedom". That is BS. You have nothing more to offer, so you attempt to free yourself from claiming it's your right to be ignorant and delusional.
Religion has no place in politics anymore. It had a time and a place but it is no longer necessary. It brings nothing to the table.
Here is a little lesson in Free Will as some of you like to use it in your arguments.

I'm not going to pretend to know everything about it, but I would imagine the parents of the children getting on the bus are well aware of the situation.WTHWYT wrote:Maybe small segment, in Kelowna couple of churches send buses around to pick-up kids to take them to church.Mr. Personality wrote: No. I'm saying you're deliberately trying to imply all Christians are involved with this, not just the tiny, tiny segment that actually is involved.

Doesn't really make me go "Hmm" at all.
I'll make it simple.forum wrote:Each Christian is an individual. They are all responsible for their own thoughts and action. However. Baptists: Religion
Christianity: Belief
Catholicism: Religion
Christianity: Belief
Victory Christian Center: Religion
Christianity: Belief.
You see, "Christianity" is an all-encompassing word that includes all Religions that believe in Christ. Maybe I'm splitting hairs a little with my examples, so let's say Catholicism=Religion, Protestantism=Religion and Christianity=Belief.
The rest of your post, like the latter parts of most of your posts, is completely irrelevant to anything. To say all Christians are guilty of what a few people did is uneducated.

Re: Brainwashing Christian Children: Scary.
I doubt you watched the videos Mr.Personality. I think you just skipped to posting. Rick Perry is now in the middle of a lawsuit because of his actions. The people that show up and pray will not be guilty of anything. Rick Perry is being held accountable for his actions. The people showing up to pray and support him are being asked to not support his actions.Mr. Personality wrote: The rest of your post, like the latter parts of most of your posts, is completely irrelevant to anything. And yes, you are splitting hairs. And yes you have just made untrue statements. Christianity is indeed a monotheistic religion. You should educate yourself a bit more on the religions before you say false things like "christianity is a belief". Check your facts before you post. And watch the videos.

I'm not going along with your reasoning forum, your brush strokes are just too wide. Judging an entire group based on the actions of a very few doesn't wash in any walk of life. I know an atheist who couldn't think his way out a room with no walls. By your reasoning.....

Which Atheist are are you specifically talking about fluffy? Please provide the name of the individual Atheist you are referring to that couldn't think his way out of a room with no walls. Or are you going to place yourself among those that come to a table with no evidence or facts?-fluffy- wrote:I'm not going along with your reasoning forum, your brush strokes are just too wide. I seem to be the only person pointing out Individuals that are creating problems stemming from their religious beliefs. I'm giving specific examples of individuals and their behaviors. The brush is not wide at all. And could you please tell me why no Christians groups are bringing forth a lawsuit against Rick Perry if they are such a segregated bunch of individuals and disagree with his invitation to spend absurd amounts of funding to pray for things to get better? Texas is in the crapper right now, and this clown wants to get everyone together and pray? Grow up.

Now before you have a seizure, splain me this...is this little diatribe not your way of saying that each and every member of a group is responsible for the actions of each and every other member? You know, one bad Christian then they're all bad?forum wrote:Which Atheist are are you specifically talking about fluffy?
