:coffeecanuck: “We” ? Actually, I suspect the vast majority of atheists are not so fearful and insecure that they need to be that concerned about the religious or spiritual beliefs (or lack thereof) of others. I suppose, however, that just as there are those religious zealots who feel threatened by those who do not believe as they do, there are also atheistic zealots who feel threatened for the same reasons. I mean, it really doesn’t get much more desperate than coming onto a discussion board and making it your life mission to criticize people who’s spiritual beliefs are different from your own simplistic understanding. A more sound belief system would more likely recruit more new members through attraction rather than promotion. Certainly, anyone who is really self-assured in their beliefs would not need to expend so much time and energy justifying and defending them, or in criticizing others.

In contrast, what do religious zealots do?

I still stand confident with everything I've said. Your input on the subject is petty and weak Steven Lloyd.

Is this a form of State Brainwashing?

California governor (Moonbeam Jerry Brown) signs bill requiring schools to teach gay history!

"It is an outrage that Governor Jerry Brown has opened the classroom door for homosexual activists to indoctrinate the minds of California's youth, since no factual materials would be allowed to be presented," Rev. Louis Sheldon, chairman and founder of the Traditional Values Coalition, said in a statement.

"If parents don't already have their children out of public schools, this should cause them to remove them," he said.

Practise what you preach. Be a leader and show your convictions. Don't be such a hypocrite! It's ok if other peoples kids are indoctornated with gay teachings. But just not yours. Right? :137:

I'm sorry. Did you just imply homosexuals are pedophiles with that "hands on" comment?
I just want to be sure. If not, what did you mean?

huh? Gay teachings ? What the hell is that?
Look through every topic on glbtq and show me any of my posts that are hypocritical. You won't find one.
I don't care what people do, until it starts hurting others. And inflammatory comments such as yours and belief systems such as yours create a lot of hurt for those that are of gay persuasion.

You're saying everyone who agrees with California's decision is a hypocrite if they don't move there?
