The story of the Fox and the Chickens
One upon a time a fox came from a far away country with his wife
and seven little foxes to a beautiful valley that grew abundance of grapes
and apples. The first thing the fox said was - 'We must find a nice church to attend.'
When the fox found the perfect little church only an hour drive away from where he lived.
The chruch was perfect because it was full of chickens. And every Sunday the chickens were told
to love their enemies.
One of the chickens noticed the fox acting peculiar, but he was such a nice chicken he quickly
ignored the wierd actions of the fox. The fox set up shop and started selling feed to the chickens.
the chickens were so happy to buy feed from 'their own kind.' The church with the chickens and the fox became
like a family. Every Sunday they would have such a nice time together - just the chickens and the fox and no one else.
The preacher chicken said 'What has light to do with darkness?' And all the chickens said 'Amen.'
After one of the chickens lost thousands of dollars dealing with the fox, he began
to wonder what exactly is this 'enemy' the bible speaks about.
What is an enemy?
Do you love your enemy?

The moral of the story.
Don't go to church, they're full of sinners.

Re: The story of the Fox and the Chickens
This is the same fable as the mouse who gets convinced to cross the pond to get to his home on the back of the alligator only to be eaten on the other side despite all assurances to the contrary.
Moral?
It's in our nature to do what we do and blame others when things go wrong.
God gives us freewill and holds hope that we can figure out how to rise above our animal instincts.
Forgiving those who sin against us is a basic hallmark standard of that ability to be better than animals.
The mouse could have chosen to not be lazy and stay alive by simply taking the long way home...

Re: The story of the Fox and the Chickens
The chicken grew up in a home that was not religious. He would
eat his meals in front of the tv. When he met the other religious chickens
who had no tv in the house, he was amazed and quickly hauled the tv out so
he could be just like the other chickens.
When the other chickens asked a blessing before their meals, the chicken quickly
started asking blessings before eating meals, even in restuarants. the chicken
was not a lazy chicken, but a perfect chicken because the bible says we are to be perfect
as our father in heaven is perfect.
But before the chicken could scratch some bugs in the ground, he had lost thousands of dollars.
The chicken started to question the way things are done, and some of the more bigger more
important chickens told that poor money losing chicken he should learn to forgive. They even
told the poor money losing chicken that he was to blame for losing his money.
And so the chicken went home, clucking to himself about how his money was all gone,
and he decided next time he will not be so quick to trust the critters in the church.

All the bibles I've read state in Genesis, that fowl (chickens) are meant to be plucked and eaten...
