B.C. atheists deny taking umbrage with public menorah

Ha ha, it only teaches that really we only see what we know, or read what we know is right regardless of the circumstances. Which is exactly how religious and atheist discussions go.

There is a lot of gray areas between the religious and atheists: agnostics, gnostics and spiritualism which may or may not involve deities. I find many who are into science are as dogmatic as some of the religious and I have met some religious people who are more open minded than atheists. Humming Beings are a complex bunch. Not easy to peg most of them.

Now I'm no linguist, but it occurs to me that one phrase that is extremely difficult for many to pronounce is "I don't know".

Living in a constant state of denial much like the clenched fist monkey clinging to it's morsel in a narrow-necked jar while facing a circling leopard and yelling at the leopard that it needs to change it's spots. (Let it go little monkey, let it go...)

Regardless of whether God put us and nature in all it's wonders here on this life bubble floating through the universe or not, our entire way of doing things is based on a God of some type.

Atheists live a God filled life here which is too deeply rooted in our laws, social values, actions, vernacular etc. no matter how hard they try to deny it.

It's simple.

During this sojourn of life you are either with God or you're with Satan.

I suggest that all the atheists get their money together and purchase themselves a promised land (preferably an island) and set up their own society free of God's influences and see how far that gets them.....

I will agree that atheists are confronted daily by the god-followers from the past. Then some folks decided that it was all a pile of hogwash designed to award absolute power and control to a select few at the heads of the churches and went looking for real intelligence beyond the god dominated world. Fortunately, they found it. Unfortunately, the god-followers have been taught for centuries to ignore and counter with more lies and brainwashing, so the power and control of the masses continues.

I am neither with God or with Satan. I don't believe in fairy tales or support terrorizing people into following either. That's what the various world religions do.

Hell's bells ... if you are Catholic, you can do that weekly. You can sow your wild oats all week then go to confession on Sunday and ask/pray for a crop failure.

I like the expression God Botherers. When I was growing up we prayed for the poor and starving in Africa. Today people pray for more money, better health, a negative pregnancy test. Those are god botherers - selfish, self centered, me first, sorry excuses for humans.
