The new Grace doctrine
The new Grace doctrine is making me very angry. How can these pastors on tv say the things they are saying. People are being deceived by this new dogma and it is scaring the hec out of me.Diane

Re: The new Grace doctrine
sorry, what's in the "new" grace doctrine that wasn't in the old one?
maybe if you have a link to exactly what you're talking about that may be helpful.

Are you talking about Calvinism (and the five points thereof)? If so, it's hardly new. The idea of irresistible grace smells of circular reasoning to me.

Sorry, what I' m referring to is the exclusion of the ten commandments from the OT. I am getting the idea that what they are meaning is that we can live like the devil beause grace much more abounds. That none of the law applies to us any longer because we are covered by grace.

I haven't heard anything about anyone removing anything from the biblical texts recently.

Re: The new Grace doctrine
In the old days the priest would only visit native villages once a year. It was a warm and sunny July day when the priest made his annual stop in Kluskus, BC, Charley Cahoose, not having been to confession for a year, visits the priest to confess his sins.
Priest: How have you been, my son?
Charley: Fairly good, but you know, it has been long since I go to confession. How much for my sins?
Priest: What sin have you committed, my son?
Charley: I slept with Antoine's wife.
Priest: ooooo, that's bad. That will be $10.
Charley: Okay, but since you're going away for another year, can I pay for my future sins while I'm here?
Priest: Of course you can. Just give me another $10.
Charley: Good, here you go 'cause I'm going to do it again tonight!

I believe this grace doctrine is a gobbledy-gook version of a gobbledy-gook religion.
You cannot reason someone out of a position that they did not use reason to arrive at.

Not sure what the intent of the OP is. /Removed By Trip.
Trying to get spiritual nourishment from a two thousand year old book is like trying to suck milk from the breast of a woman who has been dead that long.

To be fair, the rebel Paul spent quite a bit of time warning against teaches as described by the OP (if I am understanding her point correctly). eg. Hebrews 10:26.

I guess in my own way I was trying to get her to clarify what she meant by offering what the post brought up in my mind.
