No Bones About It

Post by Hmmm »

Ihttp://www.thedarwinpapers.com/oldsite/number5/darwin5.htmIf evolution did occur, one would expect to find a gradual series of fossils embedded in the rocks, from simple "almost life" chemicals, (of course there is no such thing as "almost life", an organism is either living or it is not) to one-celled creatures, then two-celled creatures, on and on with greater complexity until you have the sponges and algae, the chordates and the trilobites and all of the invertebrates, then the vertebrates appearing (animals with backbones), these last including fish, amphibians, reptiles, and man. That is only the Animal Kingdom; there is still the Plant Kingdom to be considered, with grapes and giant sequoia trees, carrots and flowers, potatoes and lawn grass, all of which supposedly evolved from the same common ancestor, according to evolutionists.

Don't forget there is no evidence of one species evolving to another. NONE.

Don't forget there is no evidence of a god either but that hasn't stopped a few billion people from believing in one.

Don't forget, evolution is only a theory!

So we are back to square one then? we can't prove there is a god and there is no other explanation?

It would be a whole lot easier if this alleged god made an appearance, said, "Yeah, I did it," and proved it by turning a turtle into a pink elephant. Then we could go on to argue about something else. Since that isn't likely ever going to happen, I'll stick with evolution as the best theory yet as to why there are diverse species on Earth.

Is it safe to assume that the conditions for fossilization existed at every stage of evolution? As far as I know some fairly specific criteria must be met to preserve the shape of a life form, and it doesn't usually happen for soft-tissue, only hard shells and skeletal remains.

Yes, there are alternative explanations but for some reason, in North America, we think in black and white. There doesn't seem to be any grey areas in this debate. I have an alternative explanation but there is no room in here to write a book.
Trying to get spiritual nourishment from a two thousand year old book is like trying to suck milk from the breast of a woman who has been dead that long.

Have we covered the Jesus-was-a-spaceman angle yet?

More regurgetated retardedness from the camp that failed science class. Of course you are free to believe as you wish, but don't expect to be treated any better than a child who insists that the earth is flat. This topic has been done to death, your minds will not be changed, explanation fron the reality side of things is futile.
Nothing on the Internet is so serious it can't be laughed at, and nothing is as laughable as people who think otherwise.

Darwinism is an old theory of evolution and evolutionary science has progressed well beyond it. As you pointed out, evolution is not a gradual phenomenon but happens in sudden leaps triggered by environmental changes.

I think Santa ditched Mrs Claus, shacked up with the Tooth Fairy, they made a bunch of mini elves, painted some reindeer noses red (for cultural diversity, of course) and presto! The rest is history! Or something like that anyway ...
