For me this says not to forget the struggles that your elders passed through to get you here .That god is always with you and we should be thankful for all the goodness that the earth and good people provide.

How do you interpret the following verse [Josh 6:21]?

The word of the LORD

For me this says gods will ,will be done,If you take a destructive path you will be destroyed .If you take a righteous path you will be saved.The old testament is pretty heavy on the god fearing .Probably necessary in the day.
I think that is why he (we) wrote the new testament to lighten his message up and made god more loving.
But the old is fun to read its all fire and brimstone.
I find it very hard to interpret a single verse .It must at least be in the context of its paragraph.
I think that is why it gets so misinterpreted .If your going to practice cafeteria style religion you need a balanced diet .If you just read into one verse out of context ,It is like eating nothing but desert,Sounds good at first but it will make you sick.

I think the evangels make too much of the resurrection. It seems so necessary to make their literal interpretation.
For me its a resurrection of his belief that we are all brothers and sisters together in one god.

When I was !7 I had never tried anything .One day I was visiting my big brother Everyone was doing a thing called peyote. They were all laughing and having a great time.My brother said it was just cactus seeds in a little capsule .It was all natural and cool.
So I tried one.

I'm quite well adjusted to the methods and madness around the consumption of Herb.

If I felt someone was squeezing my heart, I'd freak out first. Get your hands of my heart kind of thing. Secondly, I'd be wanting to head straight for a hospital. Depending on the severity of this hand on my beating heart phenomenon, I'd have a choice of two types of hospitals to head for.

Maybe you have misunderstood my intent .I have been looking for a place to share my spiritual beliefs .this is where the spirit has moved me .
I'm not trying to push the bible Im trying to see the meaning interpreted in a more spiritual less religious way.I am not preaching the bible I am studying it .
I did not want to attend and not contribute so when I asked what I can do, they asked if I would read .I like reading .I did in English and I did Theater.For me it is a performance and the the high I get and the squeeze on my heart is the love I receive in gratitude for making the reading have feeling. Once I understand it ,I can believe it enough to say it with passion.
