Sleep is good for the soul?
It occurs to me that it's easier to post meaningfully in this forum when my mind is clear of the day to day clutter of distraction and bother that comes with life as it is today, for me at least, and that this clarity usually occurs at the beginning of the day. Does a good night's sleep have it's curative properties? I mean it's not like all the crap that was there at bedtime last night isn't still there this morning.

sleep deprivation can negatively affect brain function and impair motor function.
Sleeping is like hitting reset and charging your batteries. It's necessary for life and sanity.

Sleep is essential.
You think clearer, your mind is aloof, and you're in peace in yourself.
When I skimp on sleep for few days, I get depressed, can't concentrate, and my mind feels like I'm on drugs (although I don't do drugs, but that's my closest analogy). Few more days of no sleep, and I'm afraid I'll end up on a street, hearing voices in my head, and begging for change.

Is that such a bad thing? You never know, you might find it more liberating than a 9 - 5, mortgage and slavery to the bank.
Trying to get spiritual nourishment from a two thousand year old book is like trying to suck milk from the breast of a woman who has been dead that long.

Well, some people might think it`s awesome, I tend to disagree.

Sleep is also good for your waist line.
A lack of sleep will:
- cause you to eat more
- make poor food choices
- decrease your desire to exercise
A good sleep will then of course:
- make you eat healthier and less often
- motivate you to exercise
It's almost like sleep is an important piece of the puzzle to a long and happy life:
Eat healthy, Exercise Regularly, Get plenty of sleep

High blood pressure is associated with poor sleeping habits .

And posting on Castanet is associated with high blood pressure...

That would only be true if someone takes posting on a forum seriously.
