Their figure showed that Jesus had dark skin, hair and eyes, which did not come as a surprise to other religious scholars.

Hackett of the Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, Georgia told the magazine. "And [it is] a reminder of our tendency to sinfully appropriate him in the service of our cultural values."

The truth is that these were eye witnesses who had direct contact with Jesus and all described Jesus in the same way.

Jesus was from the Tribe of Judah and was an Israelite.

Actually Jesus spent some time in his youth in Cornwall England with his Great Uncle Joseph of Arimathea who was with Jewish Ruling Sanhedrin and was a leading Roman tin trader.

As a matter of fact Jesus had built the first above ground Church in Glastonbury England while living there and where Pilgrims came for a thousand years to witness it. It got to be so brittle it was in-cased in lead and is buried in the Glastonbury Abbey property.

The Arabs didn't invade the area until the year 636, so he would not have looked Arab. Definitely not western European either, but probably Greek or Turkish in complexion. Well, given the times, he probably had long unkempt hair, lots of facial hair, stank to high heavens because personal hygiene didn't exist, had parasites, and suffered from a number of diseases.

No credible archeologists believes any of that. I'm pretty opened minded about alternative theories, but it just doens't seem credible to me. DNA testing shows that the whitest people were in Northern Europe. There's no way to know for sure what Jesus looked like, but I think it's pretty safe to say that western and northern Europeans are not the lost tribes of Israel.
