Personally if JW's would respect my word then I have no problem with them, live and let live.

it's just that they do not respect the word of others most of the time.

I recently had to firmly tell JW's NOT to come to my door.

They had been coming each week, each weekend, knocking and knocking - got to the point where I was hiding from them.

They had already been told three times prior that I was not interested and would never be involved with any religion.

They continued to disrespect my word.

Finally I raised my voice and told them "respect my words.... do NOT come back" have not had a knock on the door for 1 week now.

We will see.

I solved the similar problem in Squamish years ago.
Knock on the door.
I could see the grey hair in a bun through the window on the door.
Having just come out of the shower, dropped the towel, opened the door while naked and said I'm not interested.
Never had a visit again

Really? I did that and they came back the very next day.

That's usually all it takes. I had a series of weekly discussions with a couple of JW's a while back. Nice enough fellows. I don't quite agree with their theology (JW is way too cult-y) for me but our chats were civilized and pleasant. I knew that their intent was not to harass or convert, but simply to reach out. If I don't come to the faith, it won't be because I was never invited. That sort of thing.

Eventually, I didn't want to carry on with them anymore so I politely said I didn't think we had anything else to talk about, thanked them, and wished them well. They did the same and I never saw them again.

If they show up, answer the door the first time. Tell them you do not wish to discuss matters of faith, and to please not return. That's all it takes.

Put one of these signs where they can see it.
