How has the Lord helped you through this pandemic?

Is there a god? What is the meaning of life?

Emotionally, spiritually, financially, other ways?
This is a strange, unique time, and theories abound.
Yet, for Christians, the Lord remains steadfast for us.

What have you noticed?
I think that for people of faith, Jesus has likely helped them justify why so many people have died, for no reason.

I don't think this time is unique. There have been plagues much worse than Covid-19. Much much much worse. This has happened before with SARS and will happen again and again. The biggest difference with Covid-19 is the abundance of good information available to us all through the internet. Most remain quite ignorant to this information and buy into the media hype of it. Not unique, not strange or even special.

The lord may remain steadfast for you because you believe that all that is good is to be attributed to the lord. It's like imagining you're a hammer; Everything you see looks like nails.

For atheists and agnostics, I suspect "the lord" or "jesus" has done nothing to help or hinder us through covid. I can only speak for myself when I say that no god that I'm aware of has created the virus, spread the virus, allowed it to mutate to affect humans, or killed any humans. God has no play in this game. Viruses exist and will continue to evolve in deadly ways for us until we run into the one we can't stop.

Hmmm wrote:^^^ No I’m not mad at all but rather find it interesting that someone who hates God and religion continues to troll a thread that was started for people who do believe. I’m just trying to figure out your motive. There are so many things I’m not interested in personally, as I’m sure is true for all of us and guess what? I don’t go to those subjects and comment. And certainly not all the time. You have issues. Also I would not try to defend my beliefs or attempt to answer your criticism because I have better things to do. For the record; none of your so called criticism of the Bible and prophecy are based on truth. You clearly just google stuff and find critics to copy/paste. That’s what the critics did too btw. I won’t discuss with you over the internet this. In this thread you are only a troll. And you know it.
Though you may be right on all accounts when describing what you think of Capleton, I've never see him/her state a hatred of god or religion. I don't see Capleton as a troll either. I see him as someone dumbfounded by believers lack of applied logic in their belief system.

I don't love his approach, but I have all the same questions. I think part of his misunderstanding is that faith doesn't touch on logic. Two different things. I can know that 1+1 is 2, but in order for 1+1 to equal something else, I need faith. Us non believers will never accept that 1+1 doesn't equal 2, so telling us that faith can prove it does, doesn't hold any water. It's kinda like the global flood he mentioned. You really have to just believe it happened for that to exist in your mind. There is no geological evidence. There is no science to show it happened. As such, scientists don't believe it did happen and they can prove it didn't. What I would like is for people of faith to stop attempting to hijack science and pretend that science actually proves the supernatural. If science could prove the supernatural, then the events would no longer be supernatural and wouldn't require a god to make them happen in the first place.

And theists have their reasons for believing. Yet, I don't see many attacking you for your lack of belief. I do see you attacking them for their belief though.

I do understand what an anti-theist is. I just don't understand the drive. Why bother to attack people's beliefs? wouldn't you get more out of the conversation if it was one? rather than just mud tossing?

Faith is not a good reason though. Martin Luther even admits that faith is the enemy of reason, I see those beliefs as foolish and harmful to the world. Christian's attack me all the time out there with threats of hell when they come to my house uninvited on Sundays, I surprisingly get a lot of them.

Yeah. God did almost nothing for two years - but On Feb, 2022 when the truckers went to Ottawa, and a liar named Bernie Farber went on CBC to slander the truckers, at that exact moment I came on this forum and said "it's over." :smt045
"We're in the middle of a psychological warfare ..... we underwent the most intensive program of military grade psychological operations that's ever been unleashed on the western world." - Dr Chris Martensen (infowars)
"the unvaccinated carry many battle scars and injuries because they are the people we tried to mentally break as we took a quick slide from righteousness to absolute cruelty" - Del Bigtree

God works in mysterious ways. Tamara played a role (maybe the biggest on earth) in kicking the :cuss: out of evil tyrants.

The great lengths you'll go to in order to connect unrelated thoughts.

Truckers driving to Ottawa with the intention of crippling the city didn't have god on their side and didn't get the idea to do it from god.

If you believe otherwise, I'd be curious to know what your reason for belief in that would be.

It was people, grouping together for a cause they believed in. Has nothing to do with god.

If god played any part in the pandemic, it was god creating a virus that would attack and kill many humans. That's the god some people pray to. I just don't know why.

God didn't create the virus though.
Fauci created it in Wuhan.

But God created Wuhan. And Fauci. And greed. Then God made 75% of the people in Canada, but only 3% of the people in Africa so dumb, (government covid figures are exagerated by 10%) they would believe the vaccine would "stop the spread of covid" - for grandma, and for the economy - when Pfizer themselves said they never bothered to test it.

God created liars, then helped us through the pandemic, when those liars tried to destroy us.

Image
No, hahaha - we never tested it, you suckers.

But it's always darkest just before things get better, and against all odds, thousands of truckers, led by God, gave up their time, their money on the coldest day of the year, and told vaccine freak Trudeau and his arrogant little Transport Minister to go to hell. which God also created. It was a miracle.

Millions around the world started their own protests against vaccine tyranny. Jacinda Ardern who wanted two groups in society, the vaxxed and unvaxxed, suddenly "lost her will to be a tyrant" and is now known as the slob of New Zealand.

Blaming some almighty entity on people’s choices seems rather :cuss: up to me.
I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

I have noticed that if you go to Church your chances of getting sick are much higher than if you don't.

So I avoid Church (and Religion) like the Plague.

I go to church, and I rarely get sick. Meanwhile, my non-church going friends and coworkers get sick with greater frequency. Personally I don't think that is due to anyone's spiritual beliefs but one's immune system and habits.
