Costco has very high standards for the products that they put their name on.

It’s true. Kirkland makes the best 2-ply in the business.

Anyone could photoshop that. Most would do a better job too.

Photoshop? Pffft, this is obviously an aerial shot taken by one of those wayward hot air balloons everyone gets their knickers in a twist about. And Kelowna is getting a mega Olive Garden where Costco use to be.

Do I have to put a /s after my posts?

Costco also has by far the best diamond jewelry , makes the stuff they try and sell you around here look like pee ice cubes. And if for some reason you dont approve they take it back .

It hasn't been 110 days and there's no pad.

Why aren't you checking the website?

So I was at the airport park area across from the airport on the weekend. Where is this proposed great spot for Costco? because if people are saying the empty land next to the roundabout and stores and the sand place.....that is way smaller than the current location
**Disclaimer: The above statement is in my OPINION only.

All I read was "Kelowna Airport Business Park" - the former Pier Mac property.

ya. and if a costco was put in there on land areas that seem to small - it would be a gong show. if i was one of the residents living in quail ridge and there was a 20 car wait at the lights because of costco shoppers - id be mad as hell. the city has already made those mistakes in the mission with all the congestion points along there. heres to the city not be willing to make that mistake again.

Definitely moving to the Westside! No doubt about it. Contract signed, Costco being Coy about it that's all. I have been traveling to Kelowna/Rutland for years to shop at Costco and never complained. Sure it would have been nice to have a Costco here, but the lack of a Costco close to me did not hamper my enthusiasm for the store. Now that they have decided to move closer to me ( I am a Westsider) of course I am happy. I am dissappointed to hear from all the people who will not travel across the bridge to get to the new Costco. I dont buy it. I think you may not shop as often and perhaps you will do larger purchases more infrequently but really if you have already committed to driving in from Vernon or thereabouts, another 15 minutes of drive time is negligible in my mind. Now, I do feel for Costco Employees in Kelowna who may be single parents living in Black mountain, who have to face a commute. Ultimately though, Costco pays well and is a great place to work, so I guess you have to weigh that as well.

Until there is an "Official" announcement from Costco's HO it's still just a rumor.

They are hardly being "coy". They've been very upfront as to when they announce a new store or relocation. Unless you were there when the contract was signed, it's still just a rumour.

Costco moving to Westside makes too much sense. And this is someone who lives three blocks from the current location saying it. It’s inevitable.
