Glacier, I know you keep an eye on things, did you see what happened with the Laos/Vietnam heat dome breakdown yesterday? Cloud tops colder than -100°C. Not often you see red, black then white again in shortwave. A beast of a storm.

What goes up, will come down.
:135: is there video to this? I suspect we all wish to see it.

Hmm, challenge me? I could rewind the tape and make a gif file, just not sure where I could host it to link it here. ... oh wait, found one. (Why do all the work, when someone else has already done it.)

It's kind of like what happened just north of Kamloops when our heat dome broke in 2021, only more intense.

Probably, but I haven't seen any video from the ground. I believe, last I checked anyway, they are back into another brutal heatwave. When we had our similar "thing", I recall it caused 10's of thousands of lightning strikes and spawned a minor tornado up in Ft. St John. I still have all the sat stills from that day sitting in my computer.

I went to the Greenery today with my daughter, and she (and my son) bought me 2 hanging baskets for Mother's Day (beat the rush). I asked when I could put them outside, without cover and the answer was "when it is 12 degrees or more, consistently over night.

So, soon maybe? :135:

Did you hear that Oh Great Weather Maker?
QK > YARD SALE.

There, that should make for a change in the forecast.

Why are people crying "heat wave"? The low thirties is a nice summer day, hardly a heat wave. Picnic weather. Save your crying for when it breaks forty degrees.
