Milton, Florida holds the record for the largest single day snow event this winter, more than EVERY MAJOR CANADIAN CITY.

Just mindboggling!!

Your welcome Florida.

Be thankful you got the snow before the tariffs are implemented...

Not surprising at all, given that hell froze over there, and the devil is now president.

It's so fun to watch! Teens yelling about never having seen snow while they roll in the backyard. lol And every single adult I have seen has to make a snow angel. :D

I read this early this morning...
This Date in Weather History
1772 - Possibly the greatest snowfall ever recorded in the Washington DC area started on this day. When the storm began, Thomas Jefferson was returning home from his honeymoon with his new bride, Martha Wayles Skelton. The newlyweds made it to within eight miles of Monticello before having to abandon their carriage in the deep snow. Both finished the ride on horseback in the blinding snow. The newlyweds arrived home late on the night of January 26th. In Jefferson's "Garden Book," he wrote, "the deepest snow we have ever seen. In Albermarle, it was about 3. F. deep."

I have missed the snow this year.

And it's finally cold - I don't particularly enjoy the cold but we do need it to keep the bugs down. I hate bugs so I will endure. Hopefully, it will get cold enough.

But look outside and see that sunshine! Isn't it wonderful??? :sunshine:

I was commenting on that yesterday morning while walking the girls.
I said a few years ago this area had 18 inches or more of snow. We were walking on ground or very small patches of compact snow.
Hope we get a few feet of snow in the hills in Feb and March. Trees are going to be pretty stressed out otherwise. That does not bode well if ever an ignition source ( lightening) sparks a fire.
I haven't been up Apex for 3+ weeks as they have not had any fresh snow. Rocks with intermittent patches of snow...

Well there wasn't a single flake here in Kelowna. That was our best chance to get some snow before the cold snap, and the snow totally would have stayed a while. My guess is we probably end up getting a dusting in the coming days, which will just evaporate regardless of the temperature. This winter is embarrassing.

Wow, really? It has been lightly snowing all day at my house. Go about 6 cm. It stopped about 12:30.
