Lots of news clips showing the driving mayhem Monday evening.

ICBC must hate those forecasts, auto body shops love em.

If you go out and look at the moon right now you can see Venus.

There you have it. :)

I'll believe it when I see it. This NON-Winter is taking a toll on me though when I look at how much moisture it takes to replace what snow does in Spring.

100% guaranteed you will not be calling it non-winter in a week's time.

What is forecast? Environment Canada shows minus 2 and partly sunny next Saturday which is a week away.

There is nothing out there supporting snowfall right now. Extreme cold and no natural insulation is a real worry for the farmer and home grower.

Your concern regarding snow on the ground is similar to mine. Yes, it will be getting down to -10 or more at night next week, but it does this as a rule a couple of times each winter for a few days. That temp is usually not a hazard to grape growers or orchardists, unlike the -25 or more last winter.

The lack of snow on the ground in the valley and at elevation will be a concern unless more snow falls.
That moisture in the ground gives the trees something to drink until the rains come, maybe June?
No moisture, trees become stressed, if you notice a lot of cones on the ground and the needles thinning, that tree is stressed. Yellow pine drop their needles leaving a nice carpet of very dry fuel.

Keep an eye on the snowpack levels at the various locations, if they stay a considerable number below average until may/june, we could have issues with dried out trees during fire season.

Same with the Global Skytracker App and they’re wrong for today in Vernon lol Currently sun and cloud. It’s a beautiful day!

Even if the Okanogan Valley gets no snow it still feels like winter with the wind chill especially. And highs of -7. That's winter conditions.

The snow from the coast has good chance of hitting us too, just not a lot because it is so cold...

Cool, -12 and snowing this morning. Feels like winter

But it's boiling hot near Golden. Literally...

Not so much in the north where it's below -40 in spots...

I'm calling it "the snow of no consequence" as in, dry fly away snow that adds up to nothing does make a Winter snowfall.
Regardless of who "wins" an election, they always are up against a Silent Elite. Do you believe the extreme poor who voted for Trump ever thought their non-profit support would be slashed right out from under them?

Anyone missing a snowfall, armpit-deep, overnight, record broken back to 1960’s?

Check out Hokkaido, Japan 130 cm so far with rain coming next

Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

The cold is here, hope it's enough to reduce the bugs for spring/summer.
I haven't failed until I quit.
