Kaslo was cold, -1021.

So glad I'm retired now. :130: Working in those big minus numbers was a pain...

I've done my time as well. I've also found that these cold temperatures are great for cooling down a bottle of wine real quick.
Put them outside at -12 and they're drinkable in an hour.

What's the deal with readings from so many very remote communities? Does someone have weather stations at them? I've been to some of them, Germansen Landing, Sustut, they are really out there.

BC hydro, forestry, and other provincial weather stations are out in those remote places

It seems we might get a little bit of snow this weekend. Probably won't stick around for very long as it's supposed to warm up

Yeah looks like snow coming. I have about 3 in of snow on the ground at my place. Could certainly do with some more.

Only-22 this morning. Downright balmy!

It has certainly been warming up like crazy during the day. I noticed that Anahim Lake was 30° warmer in the afternoon than the morning a couple days ago!

Yea, don't need the block heater at that temp..

-16C here at 7:45 am. It usually warms up quite a bit by the afternoon so today I hope to make it to the range for an hour.
Last snowfall we had here a few days ago amounted to 1-2 cms of very dry snow. Used the leaf blower to clear the car and drive. Worked great.

Crazy diurnal temperature variations!

For example, Anahim Lake has warmed over 30 degrees the past two days! Other Chilcotin stations have also warmed crazy amounts (Nazko, Puntzi Mountain, Middle Lake, Baldface Mountain, Nemiah, Tatlayoko Lake, Tatla Lake, etc.). It's also been crazy elsewhere in southern interior of BC. Beaverdell, Allison Pass, etc.

Highest diurnal temperature variations in BC the past two days...

I'd like to see 4 feet of it up the hill in the trees. :130:
Regardless, going to blow the dust off the snowblower and get to use it this morning.
