Facebook popped up a memory from 9 years ago - tulips in the backyard were up 6 inches by now. No flowers yet, but far beyond what is happening currently.

How does Kelowna get snow and Vernon too but Lumby and Enderby (where it always snows more) get just rain?

You should know that being our resident weatherman.
Kamloops had nothing. Well way up on the hills, 500' higher or more.

Snow downtown Kelowna is almost completely melted but higher elevations around Black Mountain still has a veneer of the white stuff.

I’m no guesstimator of fame but I can tell you that at 8 am this morning, in dt Vernon, we had wet, slushy snowfall of 2-6”, cars skidding around corners, waterways to swim across to enter stores, but now, mostly just wet.

We needed that slurry to put down the damn road dust

And yet Lumby and Cherryville had zilch! Crazy, never seen that before where Vernon got dumped and Lumby and Cherryville were too warm for snow!

BTW, same with the Christian Valley east of Kelowna. Just rain (even though it's a lot higher elevation), and Kelowna got snow!

Just rain in Nakusp and the Arrow Lakes as well.

My fault. The weather gods are punishing us because I put my summer tires on last week.

And here I thought it was my fault for thinking about it.

I thought about washing it too.

It’ll be my fault after Monday when I get my summers on. That said, I gleefully pulled out of my driveway this morning after the surprise snowfall knowing I couldn’t care less about shoveling lol
