Here are some quotes, from various sites, that will explain what "the Blob" will mean for us this winter.

But if it does develop, the effects in Canada will be felt more in the winter, particularly in the West, where temperatures would be warmer than average.

Now, while this is great news for drivers, (although I urge you to put on snow tires anyway) it’s terrible news for skiers and snowboarders.

But don’t cancel your ski trips! This is an early season outlook and scientist are predicting a weak El Nino year this year versus the strong one we saw back in 2014-15.

What are the El Niño impacts in Canada?
Historically, Canada is mostly affected by El Niño during winter and spring. Milder than normal winters and springs occur in Western, Northwestern and Central Canada. Generally, El Nino does not significantly impact Eastern Canada, including the Maritimes, but it may reduce tropical cyclone activity in the Atlantic Ocean.

EC says that we're experiencing valley cloud this morning! That's a total lie. Nothing but blue sky here as far as I can see.

I suggest you get up from your slumber at an earlier point in time, 10:00 is kinda late in the day.
It was bright and sunny here at 10:00 as well.
At 4:30 this morning, it was very prevalent that vision was obscured by low-lying cloud (fog).

I got up at 7:00 am this morning, and the sun was shining...

Haha! It was bright out and the sky was blue.

PS. If you look closely at the map I posted above, Vernon didn't get the valley cloud today.

Yesterday morning in Rutland we had a thick fog.
I haven't failed until I quit.

Yesterday's provincial cold spot was only a few hundred km from yesterday's hot spot. First time I've ever seen YWL (Williams Lake) as the provincial hot spot.

BTW, YLW is today's provincial hot spot at 17.1C (so far).

Confirmed: Kelowna was the BC hotspot yesterday! Kelowna has two stations. UBCO was 17.6C and the airport was 17.1C. No other place in BC hit 17 yesterday.

EDIT: Glacier's place was close at 16.9C!
