A consistent -27C with the windchill in Kelowna over the past 24 hours. Down to -31 with the windchill in Kamloops. -40 in Clinton and areas north. Chetwynd is -43C before windchill today. That's the coldest it has been in BC in several years.

EDIT: some all time records for February set yesterday!

2019-02 Salmon Arm BC Maximum Wind Speed 44 km/h
2019-02 Tatlayoko Lake BC Minimum High Temperature -22.4 °C

The lake is a scorching 4.1 c and the fog coming off it is amazing.

That is scorching hot! My friends did the polar bear swim in the Cariboo-Chilcotin this year and the lake was 0.5C!

To flat for me, spent time in northern BC.
Semi retired now, I still like the cold.... never been snowbird, don't plan on starting now.

I agree with you. I spent 1+ years in Grande Prairie, AB. I missed the mountains the most. There was no point of reference as to where I was, except the sun, and that was not always visible.
I am a BC boy, this is the greatest place on earth to live..........even with all the whiners.

Currently - 18.2C at my place and dropping. Forecast low of -16 is out to lunch.
