FAKERS! They had us at 19c next week, now it's gone!
I have learned that to be with those I like is enough.

I'm fine if we don't get there that fast, I'd like some time to get some cold weather crops in without them bolting

Wasn't yesterday perfect? Went for a walk and sat on a bench just soaking up some Vit D :sunshine: on my face....the warmth in the sun felt fantastic - then a little breeze would pop up and I could still feel a teeny chill in it but knew it was on its last legs :kick: . The sky was blue blue and not a cloud in it and the birds were chirping their heads off - heralding hello to warmth and good riddance to a way way too long winter.....perfect day to feel the seasonal change and segue into spring - even saw some teeny green peeking out of the ground! No, it wasn't leprechauns - I think it might have been crocuses...

The first days of spring always make me mucho happy - especially after a winter that outstayed its welcome! :yahoo:

Yup, over 21C in both Hope and Squamish yesterday! Spring has sprung!

Kohlrabi - and maybe some broccoli. If it gets too warm too fast I'll end up with bitter, woody vegetables.

:sunshine:

I planted garlic I found in the compost, all sprouted out and nowhere to go! In one of my raised beds no less! :130:

The compost pile is warm, due to the anaerobic breakdown of the materials. The garlic is confused by the heat generated. I think you will find that it will produce more leaves than roots and bulbs.

Do they even read their own weather page?
I mean no mention of the 19 degrees and getting up to 15 Friday which is not a record so me thinks they like to suck us all in with a good headline then hope we don't notice.
Still nice though

Okay, I planted five in a row in a separate raised bed. You're on. We'll see what it produces! And my other garlic? It's all coming up. Note to Bjsilent, ya, this is exciting news!
