Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Post by Fancy »

Anyone planning anything? Not one word anywhere I can find here on the forums. Must be others that love to celebrate this day.

I have never understood why this date is on anything other then a Irish calendar.

He wasn't even born in Ireland. He is not Christian he is Catholic. He was a loser-prisoner of pirate war, that makes him a saint?

Saint Patrick's day is a day to Celebrate Irish Culture??? So.......What day on my Canadian calendar marks days for Bars and Dollars stores to Celebrate, Scottish, Jamaican, and Australian culture?

What other countries celebrate it? How many Irish Live in Canada?

No matter if you are Irish or not,

A wish from your Ol' Barney Google to all my Forum Friends...

May today be a day that finds you light of heart and jaunty of step...

May the wind be always gentle at your back and your skies be fair and clear,

unless you're in need of a spattering of rain...

May your days bring you joy and give you at least one good hearty laugh in each passing...

even if it comes from the smallest of things, as those seem to be the ones we cherish, and often need, the most...

May you always have at least one good hearty meal to fill your belly each day and

when the mood fancies you, a thirst quenching beverage to wet your whistle...

May your computer keys never stick too long and your fingers always dance lightly across the keyboard

so you may get your intelligently insightful post up before the ignoramus blackguard horse's *bleep* you've been sparing

with on the Forum for the last five days does...

Have a great day one and all...and great days of those yet to come!!!

:130: I don't drink much anymore, but will heft a serious pretend pint in honour of the Irish.

And I'm more Scottish than Irish.

May the luck of the Irish
Lead to happiest heights
And the highway you travel
Be lined with green lights.
Wherever you go and whatever you do,
May the luck of the Irish be there with you. :130:
