Where is our mayor??

I have seen almost every mayor up and down the valley on the front lines either inspecting flood damage first hand or helping out their fellow man. ...is he on holidays? or is he not news worthy..?

I would hope he's going the right thing, and staying away to not take away from the hard work and direction from those who deal with this on a regular basis and let them do their job. Any attempt he makes would be viewed as nothing more than a photo op - whether legit or not. One thing emergency crews don't need is any politician trying to help and glad-hand or take selfies at the same time. On another note - I don't actually think the majority of people realize just how much work BC Forestry Services crews are performing around here. Hard working bunch - not to take anything away from the many average Joe's trying to do their part. This isn't over by a long shot.

the city of kelowna in general has dropped the ball huge. the city of west kelowna is working their *bleep* off filling bags.the forestry guys are working hard. the city of kelowna is only concerned with saving city park.west kelowna built sandbag walls down gellatly.its almost like as soon as a state of emergency was declared and the province stepped in kelowna decided it wasnt their job to help their own citizens anymore.you would think a mayor who grew up in a family built on hauling sand and gravel would be a little more on the ball with the logistics of the sandbagging effort

I'm ok not seeing our mayor embarrass me with another public appearance.

I'm not ridiculing him, nor am I unhappy with his absence.
He ridicules himself without my involvement.
I'm content to see less photos, more action.

The ONLY thing a mayor needs to do, is the right thing.
Each day.
Every day.
All times.
Do the right thing.
Easy rules to play the game.
I don't need to see him.
I wish to see more results.
Public appearances take away from the work.
