Kelowna IKEA
So, apparently IKEA opened a collection point in Kelowna. Not a store, but a drop off point for all of the stuff you buy there or online can be shipped here at flat cost of $80.00.

Although the prices and quality are not too bad even If they open a store in the region I still won't go there more than once every 5 - 10 years.
I personally find all their products ugly.

Not sure why that post was buried in another thread. I pointed it out to the mods at the time, but no action. *shrug*

This is great for some people - the Ikea products are better made than Jysk, but they are still compact and more suited to the microsuites that are now being built. I personally dislike much of their esthetic - BUT - they make wonderful bookshelves! Some of their kitchenware is simply wonderful as well.
As for the shipping fee - friends are already planning on going in together.

It's amazing how fast 1 dollar items can add up to hundreds.
My Wife asked me if I knew what her favorite flower was?
Apparently "Robin Hood All Purpose" was the wrong answer!

Yes, IKEA bookshelves are great. We also bought a bed from IKEA and it served us well.
They actually sell very decent kitchen cabinets, backsplashes, and countertops. I think they'll be busy with budget-minded people doing renovations. All the real estate investing types use IKEA for renovation products.

No IKEA restaurant? No meatballs or hotdogs? Pffft! What a joke!
Nobody wants to hear your opinion. They just want to hear their own opinion coming out of your mouth.

Lol - for the $79 shipping fee I'm sure they'd be happy to box one up for you :)
