Things have changed dramatically in the last year...

Your right. It's been a couple of years since I've crossed the creek. The ford wasn't necessary until they blocked the downstream bridge access with the gravel operation years ago.

I guess that's progress. Blocking 50 metres of many kms of backroad has become the norm.
Everything I say to you is a lie. And that's the truth. Except this time.

Yup. Tragic. People would rather play Pokemon Go than go out into the bush.

Our air and environment is bad enough and here we have people commuting across the province on a weekly basis going up and down mountain passes.

...but you got that Okanagan lifestyle!

People are also distorting local real estate prices because they’re working in the most expensive city in Canada and living here. Boo!!!

I think the - no trucks in left lane signs - will be ignored because of the different speeds trucks are travelling at & to expect a loaded truck to stop while climbing the Coquihalla because an inexperienced driver has spun out just won't be done ?

Doesn’t Larson Hill have 3 lanes going up to summit, if so 2 are available to truckers and only left lane is to left for all other traffic.

A conundrum here. Let’s say you are in a transport truck lightly loaded and you’re climbing with decent speed. The very right hand lane a truck has stopped, the middle lane has a slow moving truck that is still moving but slow and here you are carrying lots of momentum as a driver would you not move into the left lane to pass a slow moving truck? And if you don’t pass your speed will slow to a point where you do risk spinning out.

Besides I think those little signs are going to be covered in snow and road splash and hardly anybody will respect or even see them

It also will depends on the police, will they enforce or not. If they do I’m not to certain if making excuses will work.

Maybe if the DOT asked the truckers who run the Coquihalla daily their answer would be to plow & sand more ?

This idea of expecting a driver to stop on a hill because a truck ahead has spun out while the left lane is open must have been thought up by someone who might be better suited at baking cookies ?

If red and blues lit up during such a move I’d be a total dick and bring my truck to a stop on the left lane. Would they even be dumb enough to try to enforce this during a storm event?
I guess if they roll up to you and your spun out in fast lane you deserve that coupon and then some!
