I don't see what they could realistically do. Move every building in the city that's in a flood zone? Build a 10 foot high wall around the entire lake?

heres a thought drain the water ahead of time seemed to work every other year

I was thinking more along the lines of increased monitoring of snow pack levels to get a better understanding of how much should be drained out the penticton channel prior to the snow melting.

If I owned a house along the lake, l'd look into putting it on stilts. Maybe 30cm over highest level of the lake.

I too fear that over-compensation will happen and we will end up with record low levels
and nothing but loon crap beaches and non usable boat launches.
